Job vacancy: Research Associate working on social inequalities in educational attainment


Moray House School of Education and Sport is seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Research Associate to work with Professor Cristina Iannelli and Dr Adriana Duta on the ESRC-funded Understanding Inequalities (UI) project.

The post holder will contribute to a study on social inequalities in educational attainment in Scotland and will work closely with Professor Iannelli and Dr Duta to construct and analyse a newly created sibling data set, which contains information from three administrative data sources (the Scottish Longitudinal Study, Vital Events birth data and ScotXed data).

The data set is held in a safe setting at Ladywell House, in Corstorphine, Edinburgh and the researcher will need to visit regularly the safe setting to work with the data.

The post will be part-time and will available for 6 months from 1 April 2021 (or as soon as possible thereafter) until 30 September 2021.
